Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is in New York to attend the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where 193 nations will take part.
The theme of the assembly is ‘Galvanizing multilateral efforts for poverty eradication, quality education, climate action and inclusion’.
Muscat will also be attending a summit on climate change conveyed by UN secretary general Antonio Guterres.
Muscat is accompanied by Foreign Minister Carmelo Abela and Labour MP Byron Camilleri.
