Members of the Civil Protection Department have been called to tackle a blaze at a residential block in Sliema Road, Gzira.
The fire was reported at around 5.35pm. The blaze is situated on the 13th floor.
A number of fire engines, police cars and ambulance are at the scene.
The block has 21 floors in total, with the lower part consisting of offices and the upper part being residential.
