The Labour Party parliamentary group has unanimously declared full confidence in Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, the PL said in a statement.
The secret vote was taken during a meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister today.
The meeting was held to discuss the latest developments in the investigation into the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia and its political fallout.
The PL said the vote was requested by the Prime Minister.
“The vote was taken after a meeting of the Parliamentary Group where a great sense of responsibility was shown,” the party said.
“The Parliamentary Group unanimously confirmed the government’s commitment to continue implementing its electoral manifesto until the end of the legislature.”
Monday’s meeting was part of a process that will continue and that will lead to decisions being taken, it said.
