A motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Hal Far on Wednesday afternoon. The accident took place at around 3pm, the police said.

The collision involved a Ford Transit van that was being driven by a 30-year-old man from Zurrieq and a Benelli motorcycle driven by a 24-year-old man from Qrendi. The motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. His injuries were classified as grievous.

The police are investigating.
