A man from Somalia was accused in court today with the murder of a Sudanese man in Marsa.

22-year-old Abdi Sudi Mohamed is the second Somali national charged with the murder of Bakry Bashir Alnur, aged 25.

The first suspect, 23-year old Kinaan Abdinasir Noor, was arraigned in Court last Monday. He had pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.

During the court’s session, presided by Magistrate Ian Farrugia, Mohamed also pleaded not guilty and did not request bail.

He was assisted by legal assistance lawyer, Benjamin Valencia.

Police investigations on this case are ongoing as a third person is also suspected to be involved in the murder.

Alnur was found stabbed to death on 29 November. He was found on a pavement along 13 December Road with stab wounds to his chest.
