A survey published by MaltaToday shows that when compared with PL Leadership contenders Chris Fearne or Robert Abela, the people trust PN Leader Adrian Delia less.

Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne enjoys an extremely high trust rating, 60.6% according to the survey. The newspaper asked who people trusted most, Delia or Fearne. In the direct contest between the two, Delia registered a 17.8% trust rating, while Fearne received the aforementioned.

The newspaper noted that Chris Fearne received the highest trust rating the paper's survey has ever seen.

Meanwhile the second PL contender, Robert Abela, holds a 49.3% trust rating, and in a direct contest, Delia would hold a 21.5% trust rating.

The survey published by MaltaToday reveals that there is consensus among the population for Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to leave.

Asked whether they agree with Muscat's decision to leave on 12 January 2020, 43.2% said yes, while 56.8% said no. However, of those who said no, 27.3% said he should resign now, rather than on that date, while only 26.4% said he should carry on with his mandate and 46.3% responded 'don't know' as to what Muscat should do.
