While PL Leadership contenders Chris Fearne and Robert Abela were scheduled to meet today, no meeting actually took place as the latter cancelled, informed sources told The Malta Independent.

Sections of the press are reporting that the two met today ahead of the closing of the nomination period. This meeting however, did not taking place, well informed sources told this newsroom.

While only the aforementioned two have thus far said that they will be contesting for the PL Leadership post, originally Transport Minister Ian Borg was touted as a possible contender, however he threw his weight behind Chris Fearne.
