There will be traffic restrictions in Marsa on Saturday as work on the flyover project reaches a crucial junction.

Infrastructure Malta said that on Saturday, between 6am and 4pm, the connection between Sir Paul Boffa Avenue and Aldo Moro Road will be open with only 1 lane in each direction. 

The other two lanes will be closed “so that we can safely lift and set in place 14 beams that will form another part of the flyovers we will be opening by the end of June.”

Each of these prestressed concrete beams is 30 metres long and weighs 38 tonnes, IM said.
