Two cars crash, one of them careens into pedestrian

A woman was seriously injured after a car careened into her following a crash with another vehicle in St Julian’s this morning, the police said.

The accident happened in Gorg Borg Olivier Street at 7.30am.

It involved a Kia driven by a 44-year-old man of Rabat and a Suzuki driven by a 21-year-old woman of Msida. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction.


With the impact, the Suzuki careened into a pedestrian who was crossing the road at the time, the police said.

The pedestrian, a 26-year-old woman from Lithuania who resides in St Julian’s, was seriously hurt and taken to hospital for treatment.
