In 2019, there were 276 reports of theft in Gozo, compared to 233 reports filed during the previous year.

Crime statistics for Gozo were tabled in Parliament by Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri on Monday, in reply to a Parliamentary Question by PN MP Chris Said.

Camilleri said that, in 2019, 57 people were arrested for drug possession. In 2018, there were 39 arrests.

Last year, there were 66 reported fights, compared to 2018’s 57. 10 people were caught smoking in public places last year, three more than in 2018.

The data tabled by Minister Camilleri shows that no underage people were caught in entertainment establishments in 2018 and 2019.
