This afternoon's parliamentary sitting will be a short one, dedicated to the victim of the Hamrun building collapse.
The idea was put forward by the Opposition Leader, and the government agreed to it.
The Opposition said it wanted to limit this evening’s parliamentary sitting to a short session during which condolences are expressed to the family of the woman who died in Hamrun on Monday.
In a letter to the Speaker, Opposition Leader Adrian Delia said that the parliamentary agenda should be suspended following the death or Miriam Pace when her house in Hamrun collapsed.
Delia is suggesting that the sitting this afternoon should be a short one during which both sides of the House express their condolences to the family.
Parliament should then adjourn as a sign of respect towards the Pace family.
In a letter of reply, the Speaker said there was consensus on this and the sitting will take place as suggested by Delia. There will also be no question time.
