“I am still seeing you near me everywhere, even still calling your name and wait in futile to answer me back”, a man who three weeks ago lost his wife following the collapse of the house they had in Hamrun wrote this morning.

Carmel Pace posted this heartfelt message on Facebook. His wife, Miriam, died on 2 March when the house which stood next to an excavated site collapsed.

It took CPD personnel eight hours to find Miriam's body.

“Even when I am in the car alone, I speak to you about our children and the present situation in our country,” he writes.

Pace says that his only relief is that he is convinced that she is taking care of his family from heaven.

He quotes a friend, who had told him that “I am not praying FOR her, because I am praying TO her”.

This is "what I am doing," he concludes.
