As a new measure to further ensure the safety of all citizens, two new swabbing centres - similar to the one opened up on 10 March in Hal Farrug - will be opened up tomorrow. One will be situated in Pembroke, Malta, while the other in Xemkija, Gozo
Fearne also addressed the numerous concerns that have been voiced by numerous individuals of Gozo not being prepared enough for this pandemic.
He said that tomorrow he will go to the Gozo General Hospital tomorrow where he will be explaining all the preparations that are being made in Gozo.
Fearne went on to discuss the increase in human resources that they have experienced in the past week after the decision they took to stop all non-urgent health procedures. They have also received a good response from their public call for healthcare workers from all sectors - be they dentists, and other healthcare professionals - to help out in the fight against the Coronavirus. These professionals will have a contract with the government that will last till the pandemic ends.
