20,000 surgical masks donated to Malta

CiviQuo, the Malta-based global Investment migration platform together with French business incubator UNIQORN have donated 40,000 surgical masks to Malta and France supplied from China by Vara Home, a statement read. The 20,000 masks for Malta were presented to Karl Farrugia, Managing Director of the CPSU at Mater Dei Hospital today.

Farrugia explained that the masks will be used in conjunction with the eye visors which are currently being 3D printed in Malta to give enhanced protection to nurses and ancillary staff on the wards

The masks were passed on to the Chamber of SMEs to distribute, who opted to pass them to the Health Ministry

Deputy President of the Chamber of SMEs, Philip Fenech commented, "We were liaising with all parties to help Yakof distribute the masks and have followed the advice of the Health Department."
