Now is the time to take a stand as a nation, to make the necessary sacrifices together for our safety, Opposition Leader Adrian Delia said this evening.

"The decisions that Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci is taking are necessary and are taken because our healthcare authorities are aware of how serious and deadly this virus is. That is why we must all stay at home," explained Delia.

Delia was speaking on Net News on Thursday evening.

Delia sent his condolences to the families of the two patients who passed away due to COVID-19. "It is very difficult for these families, and the whole nation sends its condolences."

He said that it is important that the elderly and the vulnerable stay safe at home, and that family members and friends keep in touch via technological means, such as through social media or calls.

He said that it is understandable that people are scared of the virus, and said that now is the time for everyone to work together against the virus.

"We must stay at home, we must wash our hands frequently and clean often, and as difficult as it is, we must keep as little contact with one another. Better days are to come and we will come out of this."
