Guidelines for vulnerable persons that were published on a government website on Tuesday were old ones and revised guidelines are to be issued soon, a spokesperson said.

On Tuesday, a document with guidelines titled ‘June 2020’ was published on the website of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. The document referred to the relaxing of restrictive measures but advised people classified as vulnerable to take precautions.

The Malta Independent uploaded the guidelines on its news portal but was later told that the document had been uploaded on the DPM’s website “by mistake.” The story was then removed from the portal.

Revised guidelines that reflect the changes coming into effect on Friday are expected to be issued in the coming hours, the spokesperson said.

As from Friday, people can go back to work and bars, gyms and other establishments will be allowed to reopen.
