Man arrested after attacking three persons in Msida

A man from Senegal was arrested Saturday morning after he attacked three people in Msida, the police said today.

The police were informed at 11.30am that a man and a woman had been attacked in Censu Farrugia Street and another man had been attacked, allegedly by the same person, some time later in Valley Road.

Giving details, the police said the foreigner first attacked a 36-year-old woman who was walking in the street. A 38-year-old man, who was driving in the same road stopped to give assistance to the woman, and he was also attacked. Both reside in Msida.

The aggressor went on to attack a 67-year-old man from St Julian’s in Valley Road.

Members of the Rapid Intervention Unit carried out a search for the aggressor, and arrested him. He is a 20-year-old Senegalese who lives in Msida.

The woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital while the two men received treatment in a health centre. They all suffered minor injuries.
