Egyptian man arrested over fight in St Paul’s Bay

A 44-year-old Egyptian man was arrested after being involved in an argument and using a pointed weapon, the police said in a statement.

The incident occurred at 9.30am in a shop on Triq Isouard, St Paul's Bay. The victim, a 50-year-old Egyptian, allegedly was involved in an argument with the other man and a pointed object was used. The 44-year-old fled the scene. The 50-year-old suffered slight injuries.

The 44-year-old was found near his residence and arrested. A Magisterial inquiry is ongoing.
