A man is in hospital after he was hit by a car in St Paul’s Bay on Monday evening, the police said.

The accident took place in Korp tal-Pijunieri Street at 6.30pm.

The man, aged 44 of Birzebbuga, was hit by a Citroen C5 that was being driven by a 34-year-old Libyan man, resident in St Paul’s Bay.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
