The Nationalist Party welcomed the decision by the President of Malta to confirm Adrian Delia as Opposition Leader, citing that the Constitution provides that the Leader of the largest Opposition Party must also serve as Leader of the Opposition.
The Nationalist party reaffirmed that according to the party statute, it is the leader of the party that must occupy the post of Opposition Leader.
At the same time, the party appealed to "everyone who genuinely loves the country to, more than ever before, keep working to truly work together to scrutinise the government and in the fight against corruption in favour of justice and truty, In favour of all the Maltese people.
