Nadur resident accused of grievously injuring man during argument

A 28-year-old man from Nadur has been charged with having placed another man’s life in danger, causing him grievous injuries, damaging electronic equipment and breaching the peace during an argument that took place in Ghajnsielem.

The incident took place in Triq ir-Rebha, at around 5am.

He was arraigned before Magistrate Bridgette Sultana. The man denied pleaded not guilty to all charges and was remanded in custody. Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.

In a separate case, a 41-year-old Spanish man who also lives in Nadur was charged with having sexually molested a young man. The alleged case took place on Sunday, in Triq ir-Rokon, San Lawrenz.

The accused pleaded guilty and was handed a two-year prison sentence, which was suspended for three years. Inspector Roxanne Tabone prosecuted.
