31 new cases Covid-19 cases found with 54 new recoveries as active cases decrease

31 new cases of Covid-19 have been found in the last 24 hours, while 54 cases have been registered as recovered in what is a decrease in the number of active cases.

Authorities said that 44 of the 54 recovered cases are migrants, while details on the new active cases will be given by the Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci in a press briefing.

A total of 2,135 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swab tests up to 152,087.

The news means that the number of active cases in Malta has decreased from 528 to 505.

Malta has had 1,276 cases of the virus since 7 March, with 762 of those having recovered and 9 passing away.
