An 85-year-old man has become the 14th person to die with Covid-19 in Malta, health authorities said on Saturday.
The man passed away on Saturday morning.
In a short statement, the Health Ministry said that the man tested positive for Covid-19 on 26 August and was admitted to hospital on 1 September after his condition began to deteriorate.
He passed away on Saturday morning in the Infectious Diseases Unit in Mater Dei Hospital.
The Health Ministry offered its condolences to the man’s family, and appealed for the public to keep following the guidelines from the Health Department.
