The wife of PN leadership contender Bernard Grech has tested positive to Coronavirus, Grech’s office said in a statement.

In a statement, Grech said that the family has been informed that Anne Marie has tested positive to the virus.

The statement said that when Mrs Grech came to know that there was a positive case at the gym she attends, she isolated herself and took a swab test, which was negative.

She remained in isolation on the advice of the health authorities and, after taking a second test, it resulted to be positive.

Since the original case at the gym was recorded, Bernard Grech said that he was not in contact with his wife. But he said that he has decided to isolate himself as a precaution.

He said that he is not experiencing any symptoms, but will be suspending his physical presence from his campaign.

He will continue to reach out via virtual means and said he will be doing his best to remain in contact.
