A 50-year-old Italian man was hospitalised with grievous injuries after a traffic accident in Gzira.

The accident took place in Triq Dr Ġuże’ Miceli at around 1.15pm, the police said.

The man, who lives in St Paul’s Bay, was riding a Yamaha FZ6 that had an impact with a BMW driven by a 60-year-old man, also from St Paul’s Bay.

The motorcycle then crashed into two parked cars, a VW Golf and a Daihatsu Syrion. He was the casualty was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. The police are investigating.
