Twenty-nine new Coronavirus cases were registered in the last 24 hours, with 43 patients recovering, the health authorities said.
The number of swab tests carried out on Friday was 2,096, for a total of 245,028.
The number of cases is edging closer to 3,000, as they have now reached 2,958, of which 2,304 have recovered. There have been 31 deaths, the latest a 92-year-old woman.
The number of cases is now 623.
The health authorities gave no details about today's cases, but said that from the cases recorded on Friday, six were family members of preivously known cases, two direct contacts of other positive cases, one from social gatherings, one was imported and three were from the Casa San Paolo home for the elderly.
