Former Electoral Commissioner Joseph Church has passed away at the age of 65 after having suffered health problems.
Church resign from the Commission in July, after having served on it for six years.
He had also served as President George Vella's secretary and as the Director General of Health.
The government, in a statement, paid tribute to his memory, and spoke of his work over the years. The government described him as a man who dedicated his life to making the country better.
