A man whose identity is still unknown was seriously injured this morning when he was hit by a car, the police said.

The accident took place in Aldo Moro Road, Marsa, at 7.15am.

The man was hit by a Citroen Berlingo driven by a 29-yeatr-old Italian man.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
