Two men were arrested for allegedly trafficking drugs, a police statement read.

The men, one aged 34 from Bormla and the other 38 from Tarxien, were arrested in a parking lot on Triq Sarrija, Floriana at 4.30am. The police searched the 34-year-old and his car, finding  25 packets of suspected heroin.

The 38-year-old was found with what police believe is a packet of synthetic drugs. A magisterial inquiry is ongoing as are police investigations.
