110 new cases of Covid-19 found overnight

110 new cases of Covid-19 were found overnight, figures by health authorities released on Tuesday showed.

161 recoveries were also registered.  It means that there are now 2,097 active cases of the virus – with the number having decreased again from yesterday.

2,345 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swabs up to 388,663 so far.

Authorities said that today’s cases are still being investigated, but gave details about the cases reported on Monday.

Out of the 103 cases reported: 26 were family members of previously known cases, 9 were work colleagues of positive cases, 4 were direct contacts of positive cases, and 2 were from social gatherings with other positive cases.

The total number of cases now stands at 8,247.  6,049 of those have recovered, and 101 have died.
