102 new cases of Covid-19 were found overnight, health authorities reported on Sunday.
89 people meanwhile have also recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases has increased to 2,159.
3,221 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swab tests up to 405,125.
Authorities said that Sunday’s cases are still being investigated, but gave details on the cases reported on Saturday.
Out of the 141 cases reported on Saturday: 31 were family members of previously known cases, 14 were contacts of positive work colleagues, and 8 were from direct contacts with other positive cases.
Malta has had 8,924 cases of Covid-19. 6,654 of those have recovered, while 111 have died.
