A biker was seriously injured on Sunday afternoon following a crash in Hal Far, the police said.

The biker, a 45-year-old man from Serbia who lives in Birzebbuga, was riding a Honda which was involved in a crash with a Mercedes Benz driven by a 71-year-old Englishman who resides in Marsa.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace is leading an inquiry.
