Chairman of the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability, Oliver Scicluna, is expected to be co-opted to Parliament, the Times of Malta reports.
He is expected to take up the seat vacated by Gavin Gulia, who resigned just minutes after being sworn in.
As Gulia resigned, it paves the way for someone to be co-opted into the post. If co-opted, this would be Scicluna's first involvement in politics. He has worked in the disability sector for many years.
