There were 119 new Covid-19 cases reported today, but 211 patients have recovered, the health authorities said.

Two more deaths were reported, bringing the total to 250. The last two victims are an 89-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man, who died at the Good Samaritan facility and Mater Dei Hospital respectively.

In all, the number of cases registered in Malta now totals 16,542, with 13,646 patients who have recovered.

The number of swab tests was lower than usual, dipping to 2,571 for a total of 596,434.

The total number of vaccination does given until Friday was 17,767.
