A worker was grievously injured after a wooden plank fell on him, the police said.

The accident took place at the Hal Far industrial estate at 9am.

The worker, a 32-year-old Tunisian man who resides in Marsascala, was unloading woods from a container.

He was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
