58 new Covid-19 cases reported, no new deaths

58 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Wednesday, as for the third time in four days no deaths were registered.

41 people meanwhile have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases currently stands at 578.

2,001 swab tests were carried out on Tuesday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 838,522 so far.

Meanwhile, 254,885 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far. 76,593 people have received both doses of the jab.

Malta has had 29,778 cases of Covid-19. 28,797 of those have recovered, while 403 have died.
