1,137 Covid-19 related fines were handed out by authorities last week as a number of Covid measures remain in place.
663 people were found in breach of mask-wearing regulations. People must wear a mask outdoors unless they are smoking or eating.
330 people meanwhile were fined for being in groups of more than what is permitted by law. The law currently stipulates that people cannot be in groups of more than two outdoors unless they are from the same household.
125 people were also fined for breaking rules related to private gatherings. By law, no more than two households can gather under one roof.
16 people meanwhile were fined with breaching quarantine regulations, while another three establishments were found to be open when they shouldn’t have been.
The numbers are similar to last week’s , when 1,261 people were fined for Covid-related breaches.
