Just 13 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported by health authorities, while two more patients have passed away while positive for the virus.
It is the lowest number of cases found in a day since 31st July, when 10 cases were found – a mere five days after the emergence of a cluster of cases from a weekend-long hotel party.
During the last 24 hours, two men aged 57 and 81 passed away at Mater Dei Hospital while Covid-19 positive.
62 people meanwhile have recovered, meaning that the number of active cases has come down to 563.
1,584 swab tests were carried out by authorities on Monday, taking the total number of swab tests so far up to 849,165.
282,841 doses of the vaccine have been administered as of Monday, with 87,770 people having now receiving both doses of the jab.
Malta has had 30,039 cases of Covid-19. 29,065 of those have recovered, while 411 have died.
