Covid-19: Only six cases reported, while 11 patients recover

Only six new Covid-19 cases were reported by the health authorities, while 11 patients have recovered.

It is the lowest number of daily cases since July last year. The last time Malta had fewer than six cases was the one case that was registered on 27 July.

No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, with the tally of victims remaining at 417.

In all, there have been 30,438 cases of Covid-19 registered in Malta, with 29,774 patients to have recovered.

The number of active cases is now 247.

Swab tests carried out on Friday totalled 2,022, for an overall 882,019 tests.

The health authorities said that unti Friday, 372,620 vaccination doses have been given, 118,209 of which were second doses.
