Another 1,094 people fined for Covid-19 regulation breaches

Another 1,094 people were fined in the past week for breaching Covid-19 regulations, authorities announced on Monday.

779 people were fined for breaching mask-wearing rules.  The wearing of masks remains compulsory at all times when one is outdoors or in public spaces.

201 people meanwhile were fined for breaching public gathering laws.  Public gatherings are still restricted to a maximum of four people unless the group is from the same household.

Another 93 people meanwhile were fined for breaching private residence gathering laws as well.  These too are restricted to people from four different households under one roof.

16 establishments meanwhile were fined for breaking Covid-19 laws, while another five people were fined for breaching an order of mandatory quarantine.
