An e-scooter rider was grievously injured this morning in an accident in Zejtun, the police said.

The accident happened in Tal-Barrani Road at around 5.45am.

The rider, a 50-year-old man of Zabbar, was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 3008 driven by a 51-year-old woman if Zejtun.

The rider was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
