An elderly driver was grievously injured when the car he lost control of the car he was driving, and it overturned, the police said.

The accident happened in Marfa Road, Mellieha, on Saturday at 4pm.

The 71-year-old man, a Mellieha resident, was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

Two cars which were parked in the area were hit by the Kia Sportage the man was driving.
