Active cases down to 128 as two new Covid-19 cases found

Just two new Covid-19 cases were reported on Tuesday, meaning that the number of active cases has continued to drop.

21 people have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases now stands at just 128.

For another day, no new deaths were registered – meaning that Malta’s death count stands at 417.

1,693 swab tests were administered on Monday, taking the total number of swab tests past the 900,000 mark to 900,491 so far.

Meanwhile, 430,508 doses of the vaccine had been administered up till yesterday.  286,709 of those were first doses, while 147,667 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 30,486 cases of the virus. 29,941 of those have recovered, while 417 have died.
