Man pleads not guilty to Gozo stabbing, remanded in custody

A man was remanded in custody on Monday after he pleaded not guilty to stabbing another person in Gozo on Sunday.

The incident took place in Triq l-Ewropa in Victoria, at around 4:30pm.

The accused, 45, from Victoria, was accused of slightly injuring the victim with a sharp weapon. He was also accused of illegal possession of a knife.

Before Magistrate Bridgette Sultana, the man pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was denied bail.

Inspector Josef Gauci prosecuted.
