94 new Covid cases as 126 people recover

94 new Covid-19 cases were registered on Monday, as 126 people recovered.

This means that the number of active cases has dropped slightly, and currently stands at 2,262.

So far, 744,521 vaccine doses have been administered. Of these, 393,062 were first doses. 370,187 people are fully vaccinated.

In total, 1,071,802 swab tests have been administered.

Since the start of the pandemic, Malta has had 33,762 positive cases. Of these, 30,683 have recovered. 421 people have died.

The health authorities also provided details about Sunday's cases. Of the 127 cases reported on Sunday, 86 were between 10-39 years old. The average age was 33.

Currently, 39 Covid positive patients are at Mater Dei Hospital, one of whom is in the ITU.
