69 new Covid-19 reported as over 400,000 people vaccinated cases

69 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported by health authorities, as the number of vaccinated persons exceeded 400,000.

134 people meanwhile have recovered, and with no deaths reported in the last 24 hours the number of active cases currently stands at 1,544.

A total of 31 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital – down from 37 on Monday, with five patients still in ITU.

The average age of the 64 cases reported on Monday was of 34.

3,157 swab tests were done on Monday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 1,099,963 so far.

Meanwhile, a total of 762,832 doses of the vaccine were administered up until Monday – with 400,760 people now having received at least one dose of the vaccine.

385,049 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 34,508 cases of Covid-19. 32,145 of those have recovered, while 423 have died.
