82 new Covid cases registered, 293 people recover

82 new Covid-19 cases were registered on Wednesday, while 293 people recovered, the health authorities said.

This brings the active cases down to 1,333. No new deaths were registered.

Since the start of the pandemic, 34,590 cases of the virus were registered in the country, of which 32,438 recovered. 423 people have died.

So far, 765,417 vaccine doses have been administered, of which 401,644 were first doses. 387,400 people are fully vaccinated. A total of 1,103,309 swab tests have been carried out.

There are currently 30 people with Covid-19 being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, five of whom are in the ITU.

The average age of Tuesday's cases was 37.
