The President and the Prime Minister have held separate meetings with the family of murdered journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

The meetings were held a week after the publication of the report compiled by three judges entrusted with a public inquiry into the assassination.

In a short statement, President George Vella said that he and Mrs Vella had a private meeting with the Caruana Galizia family today.

A similar meeting was held yesterday with Prime Minister Robert Abela.
