Forty-nine new Covid-19 cases were registered on Saturday, while one more death was recorded.

The latest victim, a woman aged 85, has now taken the tally to 440 deaths,

In all, there have been 36,039 cases of Covid-19 in Malta. 

The 54 patients who recovered Saturday have taken the number of recoveries to 34,567, leaving 636 active cases.

The number of swab tests taken Friday was 3,249, for a total of 1,181,558.

At present, there are 32 patients in hospital, one in intensive care.

The authorities saud 795,190 vaccination doses have been given, with 411,798 people fully vaccinated.
