30 new Covid-19 cases reported as number of people in ITU rises to 3

30 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities as the number of people who are receiving treatment in intensive care increased.

28 people have recovered, meaning that the number of active cases stands at 745.

The number of people receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital is 32, up by one since Wednesday.  Three of those are receiving treatment in ITU – also up by one since Wednesday.

802,798 doses of the vaccine were administered up until Wednesday, with 1,320 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 36,636 cases of Covid-19 so far. 35,049 of those have recovered, while 446 have died.
